Privacy policy

Last updated September 2026

This policy explains what this website collects, why, and what happens to it. Client tax information is held under separate professional obligations described below.

What this website collects

If you send the contact form, we receive the name, email address, phone number and message you type into it. We use that only to respond to you and to arrange a call.

The Tax Snapshot runs entirely inside your browser. Your answers are not sent to us, not saved anywhere, and disappear when you close the page.

Standard web server records such as your IP address, browser type and the pages you opened are logged by our hosting provider for security and reliability.

What we do not do

We do not sell your information, rent it, or share it with advertisers. We do not send marketing email to people who only used the contact form to ask a question.

Client information

Information you give us as a client is covered by the confidentiality rules that apply to certified public accountants, and by federal law governing tax return preparers. We do not disclose it without your written consent except where the law requires it.

Documents are exchanged through the secure client portal rather than plain email. Please do not send Social Security numbers or account numbers by email or through this website.

Cookies and analytics

This site uses only the cookies needed to make pages work. If measurement tools are added later, this section will be updated before they go live.

How long we keep things

Contact form messages are kept while a conversation is open and for a reasonable period afterwards. Client records are retained for the period required by professional and tax record-keeping rules.

Your choices

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for it to be corrected, or ask us to delete anything we are not required to keep. Call or write to the office and we will handle it.

Planning notes

Occasional notes on planning ahead.

A short note when something changes that is worth acting on. No selling, and you can leave at any time.
